About the Store
Carlos Palma opened Textura in June of 2019 with the goal of offering a curated rug selection for interior design focused clients, all at a great value. Since then, our inventory has grown, and we are able to offer a diverse array of rugs and full rug care services. We at Textura are committed to community building and investing in long term relationships with our clients and designers. Our goal is to create a flexible and personalized rug buying experience that is inclusive to a wide range of budgets and aesthetics. We hope you will find what you are looking for on the website, but if you need any assistance or don’t see what you need, please get in touch.
We strive to make the rug buying process fun and flexible! We listen carefully to your needs, provide guidance if requested, and then offer a selection with respect to your personal budget and aesthetic. You are welcome to try rugs on approval before purchasing.
Our Employees
Carlos Palma, Textura’s owner, has 20+ years of experience in the rug industry and has lived in the Asheville area for even longer. He is the go-to rug person for many interior designers both locally and out-of-state, and he makes a habit of going above and beyond for his clients. Carlos enjoys running, hiking, and traveling during his free time. As a business owner, he stays heavily involved in all parts of the company and his core values are integrity and courtesy.
Lori Evans is a former special needs teacher that switched gears in 2023 to join Textura. With a knack for home design and love of textiles, she enjoys helping people create spaces that really feel like home. When not at work, you'll find Lori spending time on her farm, lost in a good book or taking photos of mushrooms.
Carlos Jr. is the son of Carlos Palma and has been assisting his Dad with rug sales since he was 16. Now an adult, he plays a huge role in the day-to-day operations at the store, while also taking college classes. In his free time, he enjoys reading and sightseeing. At Textura, Carlos Jr. helps with sales, deliveries, inventory, the website, rug wash and way more!
Kelly Escobar joined us in September 2023. Kelly recently graduated cosmetology school and is currently obtaining her license to begin work as an esthetician. During the day Kelly devotes her time at our Greenville location with excellent customer service skills. Her favorite part of the job is picking out new rugs to display in our showroom. In her free time, she enjoys arts and crafts and watching anime. Her favorite anime is Naruto.
